Next to the episodes on the Back to the Drawing Board podcast, there exists The Bookshelf.
The Bookshelf is my gift to you. On Instagram, every first of the month, I share with you a book that reminds you how to look, gets you in touch with your creativity. These are not just books for artists, nor people who love art. They are books for people that want to learn to look, whether it's at veggies in the grocery store, or other people's body language. They are books that give you the permission to enjoy the mystery, embrace the curiosity and dive in deep. It is in this mystery that the best ideas come about. Quarantined Portraits: A Project by B. Thibbs Studio
June's book on The Bookshelf is inspired by my conversation with its creators: Brian and Michael Thibodeau, in episode 87. It's the perfect book to have on the coffee table, filled with portraits painted by Brian from creatives living all over the world. The portraits are accompanied by snippets of his conversations with them, about their quarantine experience, in both written and audio format. If you've ever been curious how creatives are handling a pandemic and quarantining, then this is the book for you!
I'm looking forward not only to diving into the minds of the participants but also supporting and sharing the vision of the two creatives, Brian and Michael, that created it! Will you join me in showing your support?
